Part of the underground complex at  the Red Road Flats was The Brig Bar– a local pub like no other, without
windows, with a boat-themed decor, wood-panelled walls and compass tables. The pub had laid closed for 20 years until 2011 when the doors were opened briefly to allow the demolition contractors to inspect the space. The Red Road Flats and the Brig Bar were demolished in 2015.
