Description
Chris Leslie’s long-term project Disappearing Glasgow — a quietly elegiac photographic record of the city’s high-rise estates and the people affected by their demolition and regeneration — has been recognised by the nation: select prints from the series were acquired for the National Galleries of Scotland’s collection.
These intimate, documentary images (made available by Leslie in numbered limited editions) now sit alongside the Galleries’ holdings, ensuring Leslie’s powerful visual testimony to Glasgow’s changing skyline and communities is preserved and accessible to the public.
