Environmental Portraits

A collection of environmental portraits taken over the past 25 years, capturing people of all ages and walks of life across the world. From the forgotten children of Ukraine and Romania living in state orphanages, to those rescued and welcomed into new families. From elderly Hare Krishna devotees in Mathura, India, to campaigners and communities closer to home in Glasgow.

The series includes portraits featured in Guardian photo essays, as well as images of children and adults living on the front lines of urban regeneration and demolition. Together, these photographs explore resilience, identity, and the quiet dignity found in everyday lives around the globe.
