48 hours in NYC
No. 6 in my ‘Walkabout’ series
Photography, film, and multimedia personal projects—no clients, no deadlines, no fees—created purely for the love of it, for the joy of exploration through the lens.
48 Hours in NY captures moments from a brief summer trip to New York, where I attended a film festival in 2014. Over a few days wandering the city, I snapped photographs and recorded audio on my iPhone, collecting fragments of life in motion.
I was staying in Williamsburg, Brooklyn—a neighborhood so achingly cool it almost hurts, overflowing with hipsters and curated chaos. Yet, just a five-minute walk away, old-school Brooklyn reveals its quieter, magical side. It was there, on a Sunday morning, that I met Jim—the street preacher who became both narrator and guide for this small urban journey.
